Human papillomavirus (HPV) is a very common virus spread through skin-to-skin contact, usually during sexual activity. The HPV vaccine reduces your risk of HPV-related disease, including certain cancers and genital warts. We offer it privately for adults who missed the NHS school programme, or who want broader protection.

How It Works

Our HPV vaccination service includes:

• 1.Consultation to review your vaccination history
• 2.Assessment of how many doses you need (1-3 depending on age and health)
• 3.Vaccination administered
• 4.Further doses scheduled where needed to complete your course

Most people under 25 need a single dose; those 25 or older, or with a weakened immune system, may need 2 or 3 doses. Side effects are usually mild, such as dizziness, nausea, headache or a slight fever. The vaccine doesn't protect against every HPV strain, so regular cervical screening is still important.
