Pertussis, commonly known as whooping cough, is a highly contagious bacterial infection of the airways that can be particularly serious for very young babies. The pertussis vaccine protects your baby in the vulnerable weeks before their own vaccinations begin.

Who Should Get Vaccinated?

• •Ideally given between 16 and 38 weeks of pregnancy
